I have a personal affiliation with the Rocky Mountain Veterans Village Foundation. I volunteer in their office, at events, and offer Healing Touch sessions to the veterans they serve. Everyone I have met and worked with through RMVVF is sincere, genuine, and open-hearted. They have welcomed me and Healing Touch with open arms, and I immediately felt like a valued part of their family. I am so blessed to be involved with such an amazing group of social changemakers and am looking forward to working at the veterans' village with the residents and animals there.
RMVVF describes themselves on their website: "The Rocky Mountain Veterans Village Foundation (RMVVF) and the Veterans Recreation and RehabilitationCenter(VRRC), a non-profit organization (501(3)(c)), is a "One Stop Hub" referral and action resource for our Veterans. We help Veterans access their earned VA entitlements and serve as advocates leading to a resolution of their issues. Our team is made up entirely of veteran and community volunteers who are professional and passionate about what they can do for their brother and sister veterans. We are not only a referral agency but also the "battle buddy" that will personally escort our veterans through their solution.
We research and ensure the integrity, capabilities and reliability of all resource agencies that we refer our veterans to. We assist the veteran in bridging the gaps and cutting through the "Red Tape" on their claims while providing swift action and tracking their progress from beginning to completion. We additionally mentor veterans to utilize all of their entitlements to improve their self-confidence so they ultimately can transition into a successful member of our communities. "
